Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers about gemstones, one-of-a-kind pieces, shipping, and custom orders: no marketing language, just what you need to know before you buy.

Are JewlArray gemstones natural, or are some treated?

JewlArray works primarily with natural gemstones. Where a stone has been treated (heat treatment, for example, which is standard and widely accepted in the trade), this is noted on the individual listing.

Who checks that a gemstone is genuine?

Every gemstone is personally assessed by Fabian, a trained gemmologist, before it's offered for sale. That assessment covers identification, an initial check for common treatments, and overall quality.

What does “one-of-a-kind” mean?

Many gemstones and some finished pieces at JewlArray are single, non-restockable items. Once a stone or piece sells, it won't be available again in that exact form. That's a direct result of how the stones are sourced, one at a time, at origin.

Where do the gemstones come from?

Fabian sources gemstones directly at origin markets, including the gem-trading markets of Chantaburi, Thailand, buying stones in person rather than through wholesale intermediaries.

Do you ship to Switzerland, the EU, and elsewhere?

Yes. Orders within Switzerland typically arrive in 2–4 business days, EU orders in 5–8 business days, and other international orders in 7–15 business days depending on destination and customs. Standard shipping is free on Swiss orders over CHF 120.

What is your return policy?

Most items can be returned within 30 days of delivery, unworn and in original packaging, for a full refund or exchange. Custom-made and one-of-a-kind pieces are final sale unless they arrive damaged or defective.

What metal is used, and how should I care for it?

All jewelry is made from 925 sterling silver. It naturally develops a light tarnish over time from air and moisture. This is normal and doesn't damage the metal. It can be restored with a polishing cloth or a gentle silver-cleaning solution.

Can I order a custom piece?

Yes. Fabian takes custom orders for one-of-a-kind designs, typically completed 3–4 weeks after the design is approved. Requests can be sent via the contact page.

What happens if the piece I want has already sold?

Because most gemstones and many finished pieces are one-of-a-kind, once sold they aren't restocked in the same form. If nothing currently available fits what you're looking for, a custom order is usually the best way to get something close to it.

How does direct sourcing affect price and quality?

Buying gemstones directly at origin markets, rather than through multiple wholesale intermediaries, removes layers of markup and lets Fabian personally assess each stone before it's chosen, rather than relying on a supplier's description alone.

Is JewlArray a Swiss company?

Yes. JewlArray is based in Switzerland; gemstones are sourced directly at origin and jewelry is handcrafted from 925 sterling silver.
